Rob Taylor, 60, of Hardinsburg, Indiana, passed away on February 21, 2026.
Born on January 26, 1966, in Oneida, Kentucky, Rob was the son of Elmer and Mollie (Absher) Taylor. He was a graduate of West Washington High School, Class of 1984. Rob dedicated his working years to construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature.
On February 14, 1986, Rob married the love of his life, Tracy Wilson. Together they built a life rooted in love and family in Hardinsburg, Indiana. Rob treasured the simple joys of life- hunting in the quiet woods, fishing peaceful waters, tending to his garden and, most of all, spending time with his family. His greatest pride and happiness came from his grandchildren, who brought endless light to his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Taylor; his mother, Mollie Taylor; and three brothers, AB Taylor, Bill Taylor, and Jim Taylor.
Rob is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Tracy Taylor; his daughter, Ashley (Octavio Chavez) Taylor; his son, Tyler (Gina) Taylor; his sister, Melissa Taylor; and his brothers, Jr. Taylor, John Taylor, and Larry (Edna) Taylor. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: TyLynn Taylor, Zaden Taylor, Tahlia Chavez, Rhianna Chavez, Shyla Chavez, and Alaiya Chavez, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place after the service.
